Fairborn Development Corporation receives $170,000 from city council to buy and revitalize blighted properties

A new organization that plans to foster economic development in Fairborn by purchasing, revitalizing and then selling blighted properties along Broad Street recently received $170,000 in initial funding from the Fairborn City Council, Dayton Daily News reports. The Fairborn Development Corporation (FDC) plans to use the funds to purchase, improve and sell a blighted property and then to apply any profit it generates to improve additional properties.
