The economic development committee for Etna Township in Licking County no longer plans to have the area's third new economic development district in place by January, the Newark Advocate reports. The group is working to decide whether to pursue the original plan, which called for the establishment of a Joint Economic Development District (JEDD) and would require "51 percent of the property owners to sign a petition implementing the plan," or a Joint Economic Development Zone (JEDZ), would would require "a vote of all electors in Etna Township."
