Brett Kaufman, CEO of Kaufman Development, is “going full steam ahead with residential projects like the mixed-use building” in the Short North and his Gravity 2.0 project in Franklinton, according to the article. Connect Real Estate founder Brad DeHays says his Columbus Municipal Light Plant redevelopment project (see our October 24, 2019 blog post) has leased 23,000 square feet in its next office building to open. The Capital Crossroads Special Improvement District, which tracks downtown projects, reports 11 projects completed through October 2020, “the bulk of them mixed-use residential and retail.” Projects under construction or proposal “are dominated by residential” as well.
