The Southwest Central Ohio Procurement Technical Assistance Center, known as PTAC, will continue to operate despite the recent closing of its host organization, the Edison Materials Technology Center (EMTC), Dayton Business Journal reports. One of seven Edison Technology Centers located around the state, EMTC provided a variety of product and process innovation and commercialization services to both established and early-stage technology-based businesses. The state of Ohio is in the process of negotiating with potential hosts in the Dayton region to find a new location for PTAC, which “provides no-cost and low-cost assistance for companies looking to sell goods and services to the government,” the article said.
