New hires and a promotion have put new faces in several vital positions at the Dayton Development Coalition (DDC) this fall, the Dayton Business Journal reports. Shannon Joyce Neal is the new director of strategic communications, serving as the group’s spokesperson. Janet Harp will begin October 1, 2015 as the director of stakeholder relations, a position that “oversees membership and development for the DDC,” according to the article. Additionally, Julie Sullivan, previously the group’s director of economic development programs, has been promoted to vice president of development. The DDC, “one of the largest economic development groups in the region,” is responsible for economic development in 14 counties covering the Dayton and western Ohio region; the group has a $3.6 million operating budget and focuses on “aerospace, defense, advanced manufacturing, data management, health care and information technology,” according to the Dayton Business Journal.
