A group of Cleveland-area community leaders has begun discussions about how the city can capitalize on its Lake Erie shore and the banks of the Cuyahoga, The Plain Dealer reports. In a recent forum, speakers from the Greater Cleveland Partnership, the Cleveland Landmarks Commission, University Circle, Inc. and the City of Cleveland addressed how to stimulate economic activity and involvement from the private sector in light of recent public investments in parks, museums and a lakefront football stadium. The forum’s keynote speaker was Lisa Schroeder, president and CEO of Riverlife of Pittsburgh. Schroeder discussed her experience developing that city's riverbank during the last decade.
