Columbus Partnership buys downtown building for $3M as part of recovery plan
The private, nonprofit Columbus Partnership, a “collection of the area’s most powerful corporations,” has purchased the state office building at 145 S. Front Street for $3 million as the group focuses on revitalizing downtown Columbus, The Columbus Dispatch reports. Partnership CEO Alex Fischer said a healthy downtown is a key asset to the entire region from an economic development standpoint, and the area “is in a more precarious position than it was before the pandemic,” making the focus on downtown more urgent, according to the article.
