Call center company in Springfield failed after receiving nearly $1.1 million in public loans and assistance

A company known as em3 LLC that was established in Springfield in 2006 closed up after receiving "nearly $1.1 million in publicly funded loans and incentives," Springfield News-Sun reports. Before closing in 2008 due to "multiple financial issues," the call center company received nearly $712,000 in the form of a Small Business Administration loan and $400,000 in local and state funding.
