Last week, Ohio Department of Development Director Christiane Schmenk announced the appointments of Beth Trombold and Todd Walker to the department's leadership team, according to Gongwer. Ms. Trombold, a long-time Public Utilities Commission of Ohio (PUCO) official, was appointed as the assistant director and will oversee economic and community development programs. She will “focus on efficiency and customer service, and will coordinate with JobsOhio to ensure the success of the state’s new economic development program,” the article said. Todd Walker is joining the department as chief communications officer. Mr. Walker, who most recently served as communications manager at the Indiana Department of Transportation, has more than 14 years of communications experience.
