$40 million lifestyle development in Worthington would have “village feel”

A potential $40-million-plus investment could transform the site of the Holiday Inn at High Street and Wilson Bridge Road in Worthington into a mixed-use development with the feel of a town square, reports Columbus Business First. The project would include “a pair of four-story hotel buildings with retail, restaurant and possibly office spaces,” according to the article. Ohm Patel, Managing Director of Alliance Hospitality Inc., said restaurants would have patios that open to the square, creating “a village feel where you can walk through and feel like you’re a part of something.” Patel added that the Village at Worthington Square would also be able to hold community events, such as weddings or arts and craft shows, saying, “[w]e want to integrate it into the community because it’s a space people can enjoy.” Patel also noted the property is currently valued at $4.5 million, and the development would have a significant property tax impact.
