A pair of entrepreneurs has big plans for the $4 million go-kart project they are bringing to Brook Park next summer, Cleveland.com reports. Three-time national champion Lee Boss and his cousin Brad Copley have plans to “hold national tournaments, teach the sport to newbies and host corporate events for workers and clients” at the Boss Pro-Karting center, to be built on the southeast corner of Brookpark Road and Ohio 237. They hope to bring “national champions, Sunday drivers and other speed lovers” to the indoor track, which will be about one-fifth of a mile long; an outdoor extension will bring the total track to “about a quarter of a mile, with 18 turns,” according to the article. City Council recently held the first reading of a bill to contribute $50,000 for demolition of existing buildings at the site, but no additional city aid is planned for the project. Copley will charge about $20 per race; he’ll supply “the car, the gas, the helmet, the track and more,” while drivers supply “hands, feet and nerves.” For more, read the full article.
