22 higher education institutions to receive $11 million in funding for co-op/internship programs

Last week, State Sen. Bill Beagle (R-Tipp City) announced that the State Controlling Board approved “nearly $11 million in funding for the Choose Ohio First Co-op/Internship Program,” Dayton Business Journal reports. Twenty-two higher education institutions throughout Ohio will receive funding for the administration and development of internship and co-op programs. “The goal of the program is to better align the skills, knowledge and experience of Ohio’s workforce with the jobs that need to be filled in the workplace,” the article said.
