From Dublin to Franklinton to Gahanna, one of “Central Ohio’s busiest commercial real estate developers” is bringing housing, retail, and mixed-use commercial projects all around the greater Columbus metro area, Columbus Business First reports. Casto, which “ranked No. 9 on Columbus Business First’s list of the busiest developers in 2024,” isn’t slowing down in 2025. The developer’s “222-unit Park Monroe Apartments will welcome residents in late spring” to a project that includes Lucky’s Market, bringing a grocery store back to the Harrison West neighborhood. Construction on Westrich in Franklinton is expected to be complete in 2026, adding 234 apartments, most of which “will be held for people making less than 100% to 80% of the area median income,” according to the article. In Gahanna, Casto is building the 294-unit Crescent Woods Apartments.
New projects for Casto in 2025 include Avery Crossing in Dublin, where “plans call for a variety of housing, including single-family homes, townhomes, and apartments, plus preserved mobile homes already on the site.” Avery Crossing will also include mixed-use commercial space. Casto has said construction will also begin on the Kroger Bakery redevelopment, a project in partnership with Kelley Cos. and The Robert Weiler Company, which will create 363 new apartments. That project won Transformational Mixed-Use Development tax credits from the state. For more, read the full article (subscription may be required).
